Evolutionaries
Well, the Evolutionaries have been upset that we've not been out on the field to further prove what incredibly awesome kickballers we all are. We shut out our first opponent, Kicks and Giggles, 6-0 and are ready to show all the other teams in our conference how BEAST we are. We had a good showing out at Grandad's last Tuesday and are working our flip cup techniques. Don't mess with us at the flip cup table either! Through a totally legit Facebook vote, we determined our All-Star players this past week. They are Amanda Satterwhite and Dual Doran - congrats guys, we know you will do us proud at the mid-season party All-Star game. Also, they will not be dressing as clowns, per request from Kai. Until then....kick a possum!!
Casual Encounters
Last week it may have been suggested by our commissioner that the combination of my awesome bar dancing and my Native American heritage was causing all of this bad weather. Thus I give you all my promise to reserve my booty shaking only for celebratory dance moves after our upcoming victory against the Angry Unicorns. I hear that Unicorns are magical – but there is nothing more magical than a Casual Encounter.
Yours Truly,
SCF (Single Choctaw Female) in search of John Smith look alike – enjoys ball play and always goes past 3rdBase
Kick Tease
What did Kick Tease do the
past few weeks without kickball? A lot actually...
- We watched our biggest fan Adam Scott win the Masters. Most people think that Adam is celebrating winning the Masters in this photo, but in reality, this is right after he heard that Kick Tease gets to beat Hoof Hearted? this week. Who would have guessed it?
Adam really wanted to play with the Kick Tease this season, but a stupid
thing called golf got in the way.
We still made him an honorary member for the season because he is such a loyal fan.
We still made him an honorary member for the season because he is such a loyal fan.
- We also brought in a couple of coaches to help run some special kickball training sessions.
They really focused our team
on proper kicking technique and taught us some new celebrations they use when
scoring goals that we plan to use this week when scoring runs on Hoof Hearted?.
They also gave us some quality instructions and guidance to use in the upcoming
team photos (see below).
Ok, that was just to make sure you read our entry first. But she may or may not be on our team's sideline this week in a bikini...come hang out with us to find out.
Anyways, Hoof Hearted? You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting. In what world could you possibly beat the mighty Kick Tease?
It’s time for you to put your mouth where our balls are!

GHOST MAN
To make things a bit more interesting the Ghost has decided to put a bounty out on OKC & Drunk and Looking to Score!
Only one of these two teams truly deserves the bounty as they have proven their skills as the defending Champs of the Brick Town League, and other team is the self proclaimed Camps! All in all both of these teams can seriously play some damn good kickball. That being said here is the bounty:
A cooler to your next game provided by the Ghost! The cooler will have at a minimum of 4 (four) cases of beer. The first three cases are your reward for beating one of the two teams mentioned above. Then your team will receive an additional case of beer for every point you beat one of said teams by.
Good Luck to our first challengers... Slap and Tickle & The Evolutionaries

Hoof Hearted?
Hoof hearted? here. Not much to report seeing as last only required that we drink and we already knew we were good at that.
It is worth noting that “…And Looking to Score” performed a pretty elaborate rain dance just to avoid playing us last week. (For the record: I searched everywhere for a clip of that rain dance from “Man of the House” with Jonathon Taylor Thomas (swoon!), but all I could find was this clip of this small Indian child.
I’ll be honest when I tell you that I know nothing about “kicks and giggles,” but I remain confident that they will not be GIGGLING after we KICK their asses. That clever name backfired, now didn’t it, K&G?
Anyway, glad we could have this talk. In case of rain tomorrow, know that the gold team will still be enthusiastic AND gassy- an unstoppable combination if ever there was one.
Signing off,
Hoof Hearted?
Stepdads
So last week we didn't get to play kickball. And it looks like Gary England got another year on his contract with Satan. Who would have thought that being right about the weather was worth your soul? I mean I love the movie Twister- but not that much... I digress.
Let me set the stage for you... There was a geologist, a dietitian (I had to look up how to spell that), a musician and a dork playing Junior Trivial Pursuit against the Pink Tacos. It wasn't that the Tacos were smarter- It is just that we had let the Junior knowledge go so that we can retain far more important trivial matters. Not once did a question ask about John Elway, The Beatles, The three classifications of rock, or the caloric impact of a carrot... So congrats Pink Tacos, congrats on your knowledge of the mickey mouse club and whether or not you can see through a stockade fence (you can't).
This week we take on the Designated Drinkers. I won't remind you of what the power polls say about the D.D.'s, but let's just say- they have a ways to go to compete against the Stepdads. I am sure there will be plenty of drinks shared, and when the game is over the designated drivers will be taking home their team mates who just lost.
HIGHLIGHT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Garret Camp (Catcher)
Garret has been playing kickball for over 2 years with the core of this team. Through the years I have seen him make diving foul ball catches, alley-oop style outs at the plate, and great kicking all around. An intense competitor, and a great team mate.
I made a few calls and have gotten some video tape on one of the guys on the DD's in their little league baseball days.
Pink Tacos
Pink Taco Love!
Blame it on the rain? More
like blame it on M.G. and his rain dance. We believe that he did everything in
his power to avoid having his team taken down HARD by The Pink Tacos and the
“drunken monkey” style pitching of their fearless leader Apache Master. Fortunately when The Pink Tacos took on The
Stepdads at trivia, The Stepdads lost as expected. The intellectually savvy Tacos that kicked
some major butt were Myles, Andrea, Alyssa, Alex, and Jenny. It is now obvious that The Pink Tacos have
intellectual muscles along with athletic muscles. The Pink Tacos are still itching for a
kickball rematch against The Stepdads, and they are definitely going to try and
make that happen.
This week The Tacos take on Thunder Thighs. Not much is known about this team except that
they barely pulled out a LOSS against Kicks and Giggles. This week is going to be a walk in the park
for The Pink Tacos, unless the THUNDER Thighs rub those thighs together and
create some lovely Oklahoma spring weather that would cancel another night of
kickball.
After last week’s rainout, The Tacos are itching to get back
out on the kickball fields. Don’t
mistake this small break for rustiness, taking time off only makes them
stronger, feistier, and ready to take down another team. As always they extend a welcome to the team
that is about to lose, which is always the team playing them, to come take a Jell-O
shot with them before and after the butt kicking. The Pink Tacos do pride themselves on being
the best and most fun team in the OK Capital League and we don’t plan on losing
that title anytime soon, but we do plan on adding the title Thunder Conference and OK Capital League
Champions title as well.
Don’t forget to go like our Facebook page to keep up with our
awesomeness!! We will start updating pictures soon! www.facebook.com/PinkTacosOKC
The picture is in honor of our fearless leader, he is in love with a picture of Cosby with a pink taco, but I couldn’t find it.
This was a nice substitution!
